I am the author of of Nchan, an Nginx-based pub/sub server for web clients. ( https://nchan.slact.net/ ). Nchan includes a Redis message storage engine, built with the hiredis client and a healthy dose of Redis scripts. This talk is about embedding, debugging and verifying complex Lua scripts in a large C project, and offloading low-level logic to high-level Lua on Redis.
