It was well worth the journey to this little park in the centre of Bangkok, Thailand to this the strange little treasure that is Lumpini Gym (named after the park... Lumpini Park). Note to self... get the Thai translation of this place on the map.. as the taxi drivers in Bangkok only know the english for the more common tourist spots.
Apparently this gym has been going since 1979 and all equipment is home-made and maintained. Which reflects the general health and safety approach in Thailand.. but that said
