The Golf is an automobile model launched by Volkswagen in 1974 to bring a compact hatchback vehicle to the automotive market. It is the third traction model after the K70 in 1970 and the Passat in 1973. Designed by Giorgetto Giugiaro, it came out in 1974 and immediately won the success.
