An international group of researchers have used the Artec 3D Scanning SDK and Artec Spider mounted to a robotic arm to develop a new automated scanning method which produces 3D models of great quality. Even for scanning small objects with complicated geometry, comparative tests have shown that the new method effectively outperforms previous 3D scanning techniques.
