We go to California where an old coal fired power plant is being transformed into an environmentally friendly power plant. The new Buena Vista Biomass plant will burn scrap woody biomass from farms, orchards and landfills. It is essentially recycling the material into electricity. The plant's highly efficient scrubbers clean virtually all of the pollutants out of the effluence and generates 18 megawatts of power. Additionally it is creating new jobs in rural California.
