In this simple mechanism a spoke rotates on pulling a thread. A card sheet with a Bird on one side and a Cage on the other side rotate with the spoke. As you pull the thread the spoke rotates and it appears as if the Bird is inside the Cage. This experiment demonstrates persistence of vision. This work was supported by IUCAA and Tata Trust.
