The US Senate voted overwhelmingly in favor of admitting Montenegro to the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) on Tuesday. Senator Rand Paul (R-Kentucky) dismissed the debate as “a punching session about Russia.” But when the Center for Democracy and Human Rights polled Montenegrins they found that a slight majority of the country disapprove of NATO membership.
