We already knew that at some point, the 2017 Chevrolet Bolt EV electric car would get a European-market twin, to be called the 2017 Opel Ampera-e.
The Ampera-e project was announced by GM CEO Mary Barra back in February. Now, Opel has confirmed that it will make its public debut at the 2016 Paris Motor Show in late September.
The car is essentially a Bolt EV re-branded as an Opel for the European market, an example of what's known as "badge engineering" in the industry.
