I show you the steps I took to build this binocular robot head. This is a stereoscopic camera on a pan tilt servo head. The servos are controlled with an astable multivibrator acting as a PWM, using the potentiometers of a joystick as the user interface.
Stereoscope photography employs the effect of using two cameras side by side and only allowing one of your eyes to see each image. Depending on the interaxial separation between the cameras, the subject may appear larger than life, or smaller than life.
