The Marine Corps version of the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter (F-35B) conducts the first integrated operations with other assigned aircraft aboard the USS America (LHA-6) on November 19, 2016. Twelve F-35B Lightning II fighter jets embarked on USS America (LHA-6) to demonstrate shipboard integration alongside other Marine Corps Air Combat Element assets.
