First entering service in the mid 1980's, the B-1B was designed to penetrate Soviet airspace and deliver nuclear weapons. Over the years when the Soviet Union collapsed, the B-1B was designated "Lancer" and nicknamed "Bone" from B-One. It has since been used as a conventional bomber in conflicts and wars. Today the Bone is still a slim, sleek and beautiful aircraft, with it's deadly nuclear capabilities very much intact.
