Lisa Gade reviews the Origin PC EON15-X, a 15.6” gaming and pro apps laptop with desktop CPUs and NVIDIA GTX 970M and 980M graphics card options. Origin PC is a “boutique” brand, or small build-to-order maker of gaming laptops and desktops, and it was founded by the same folks behind Alienware before Dell bought Alienware years ago. The laptop is shipped in a wooden crate, mostly because that’s cool. The EON15-X starts at $1,737, and our very high end configuration sells for $2,739.
